This house is a typical old Portuguese farm house with its own cistern and has been carefully restored in the past few years. It consists of a large living room with a dining area and a kitchen. This room should be heated with a stove during the cool months of the year. On the top floor, there is a large bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm), a single bed (90 x 200 cm) and a children's bed. The second sleeping room is in the backyard and it has 3 single beds. It is ideal for 3 children or teenagers. There is also a washing machine in the house. There are two terraces, one of which looks out on the quiet street on the front side of the house, and the other on the inner courtyard. The car can be safely parked there. The stairs do not have handrails and therefore are potentially dangerous for small children. There is gas heating in the house and, in any case, also two oil heaters, so that the rooms (bathroom and bedroom) are well-heated.

The little village Cidade is located in the immediate neighbourhood of the Atlantic coast, about 85 km from Lisbon and between bathing resorts of Foz do Arelho (3 km) and São Martinho do Porto (7 km). Beaches located there are also suitable for children as they are protected by sandbanks or offshore rocks. The nearest bigger town with shopping and medical facilities is Caldas da Rainha (about 10 km away). Apart from that, there are plenty of trip opportunities, to mention just a few: Obidos (a medieval town), Alcobaça (a beautiful monastery complex), Nazaré (a picturesque fishing village with a tall rock, the view is worth taking a funicular!), Batalha (the most important national monument in Portugal), Porto de Mós (a renovated castle and a limestone cave), Tomar (the main site of a medieval Templar fraternity), Coimbra (a university city), Peniche (a long beach near Peniche - Baleal – is good for surfing and swimming) and obviously Lisbon.

The price is calculated as the total price for the number of persons indicated above and includes the costs of electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Possible heating costs are charged extra on departure. The price is given for a stay of minimum 7 nights or more. Arrivals are possible at any day of the week except for Sundays. Earliest arrival time: 4 pm. Latest departure time: 12 am. Families with babies and children are particularly warmly welcome.
