The small hotel Casa da Piedade owes its name to the last lady of the house who lived on the premises. The house was built in the 18th century and thoroughly renovated in 1994, yet utmost attention was paid to maintain its traditional charm and at the same time to provide the guests with modern amenities.
The coast is 25 minutes walking distance away, the town of São Vicente and the famous sea caverns are located even nearer. The location of the house is perfect for hiking trips along the levadas, pathways typical of Madeiran landscape.
Delicious breakfasts are served every morning, and moreover, the hotel guests may use the kitchen for preparing light meals. There is also a small self-service bar that can be visited at any time. A car park is at the guests' disposal.
