501 - Villa Joanna

The Villa Joanna was completed in June 2006. It is furnished with brand new modern facilities, dishes, linen etc. There is a solar system for hot water and heating in the house. The energy pass issued for the villa was given an “A” mark. The total living area is approx. 190 sq.m.

The villa has a private swimming pool with crystal clear salt water, which is advantageous and healthy for your skin and eyes. The mild salt water (0,3% of salt) is enriched with plenty of oxygen and carries you while swimming. The pool is maintained by a specialist.

There is a thermal cover which prevents animals from drowning in the pool at night and helps to keep the pool free from dust and leaves. Due to the cover, the temperature of the water is pleasantly warm also on cool nights.

Your holiday might appear incomplete if you only choose to visit beaches that can be easily reached by car within approx. 30 minutes drive from the villa. The villa is located within the nature reserve of Costa Vicentina in the picturesque West Algarve, above Aljezur on a high plateau in Vale da Telha, in a quiet side street. The villa is situated about 500 m from the Atlantic in a beeline, so that you can hear the sound of the ocean. There are about 3 km to the nearest beach due to the location on the plateau.

A car is indispensable. There is a few minutes' car drive to the fantastic beaches of Monte Clerigo with crystal clear water, and a large artificial lake gives you further opportunities for swimming and angling. The beach of Praia de Amoreira boasts an extraordinary landscape with dunes and a broad river mouth, particularly suitable for swimming and splashing. It is a perfect place for small children because the water is warm and shallow there.

In Vale da Telha there are two supermarkets, plenty of restaurants serving good local cuisine, and a lot of wonderful walking routes along the high plateau, with breathtaking views over the wild fissured coast and the Atlantic. The little town of Aljezur is located 7 km away and offers cosy restaurants, rustic pubs and further shopping facilities. Cultural attractions can be found in the historical museum and castle ruins boasting a view across the Monchique Mountains.

The West Algarve is regarded by connoisseurs as one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the southern part of Europe.

The price is calculated as the total price for the number of persons indicated above and includes the costs of electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Possible heating costs are charged extra on departure. The price is given for a stay of minimum 7 nights or more. Arrivals are possible at any day of the week. Earliest arrival time: 4 pm. Latest departure time: 12 am. Families with babies and children are particularly warmly welcome.
