DROP IN Surf & Adventure Resort

Board and lodgings
The resort consists of two houses, located on a large land plot with a garden, a lot of terraces/ chill out areas, a swimming pool and various sports facilities. There are pleasantly furnished rooms with 2 or 4 beds. We put great emphasis on a private, friendly atmosphere and therefore we can accommodate a maximum of 14 persons. The spacious, large property offers numerous opportunities, not only to enjoy surfing, but also to relax. There is a beach volleyball pitch (floodlit) in the garden, where you can play for pleasure, take part in weekly fun tournaments and win precious prizes. The swimming pool offers refreshment. If you only wish to watch a game or relax, you can use a hammock or a deckchair. Moreover, there is a table football, a darts board, and table tennis available.

In bad weather conditions you can make yourself comfortable in our lounge, where there is a TV set, DVDs, games and a computer with free Internet access at your disposal at no charge. For those who wish to bring their own laptop computer, there is a free Wi-Fi Internet access available. We also provide morning service in the form of rich breakfast buffet, which give you strength for the day. Every Sunday evening we organize welcome barbecues which are a perfect opportunity to get to know the group and start new friendships. The shared kitchen and barbecue are also available any time you should need them.

Surfing, sports activity and pure fun
The diversity of surfing spots in the area makes surfing a pleasurable experience both for beginners and more advanced surfers. There are constant, clear, long waves which offer perfect conditions for learning how to surf. Our Surf Pack includes a 20-hour surfing course (theory and practice; for beginners or advanced, depending on the number of participants), which lasts five days. Depending on wave conditions, our trainer takes you to the best spots available. Obviously enough, we provide necessary equipment (neoprene surfing suit and surf board) which can serve you also outside the course times. Those who do not participate in a course also have an opportunity to rent out surfing equipment for a given charge.

For those of you who seek even more attractions, we have prepared an Adventure Fun Pack. Paragliding double flights can give you a real adrenaline kick, while one-hour long quad tours in the area guarantee a powerful load of attractions. The pack rounds off with a group excursion to Lisbon. You get to the capital early in the afternoon and have just enough time to get to know the city, see the sights, go shopping or have a sip of Galao in one of the innumerable street cafés. In the evening a delicious meal in a typical Portuguese restaurant in the old town awaits you (beer, wine and soft drinks included). It gives you an opportunity to emerge in the night life of the old Bairro Alto district, have fun and spend an unforgettable evening. Obviously transfer back to the Drop In Resort is provided. The Adventure Fun Pack also includes the free use of surfing equipment (surf board and neoprene suit).

Besides the Surf & Adventure Fun Pack, we have numerous other activities on offer, bookable on the spot: double parachute jumps, paragliding, wakeboarding, diving/ snorkelling, Jeep safaris, quad tours, go-kart driving, mountain bike tours, horse riding, canoeing, paintball, diving “get-to-know day”, kite “ get-to-know day” and many more.

The place and its surroundings
The Drop In Surf & Adventure Resort is located in Lourinha. We offer you surf courses and a number of other activities from the beginning of May until the end of November. Lourinha is a typical Portuguese small town located about 60 km north of Lisbon and about 12 km south of Peniche. The numerous wonderful beaches around Lourinha are excellent both for sunbathing and surfing. Beginners and proficient surfers can find perfect waves in one of the surfing spots in the immediate proximity of the resort.

The Drop In is located in the suburbs of Lourinha, a short walking distance from the town centre. If you wish to go on a shopping spree in this pleasurable place, have a drink in the evening or skate in the largest skate park in the region, you have it all within easy reach. Many different beaches are also easily accessible by bike. Bikes are available in our resort free of charge. For those who do not have own means of transport, we offer daily shuttle bus connections to and from the beach.

From May 2008 until the end of November 2008. Arrivals only on Saturdays.

Surfing equipment for rent:

· surfing suit: 5,- €/ day, 20,- €/ week
· board & surfing suit: 15,- €/ day, 60,- €/ week

Extra services:
· one week stay extension basic pack: 200,- € (May, November), 225,- € (June-October)
· double room/ twin room – extra fee: 25,- €/ week
· airport transfer from /to Lisbon only on Saturdays (per person / per one drive): 30,- €
· all-day boat trip to Berlenga Islands including snorkelling, barbecue and shuttle service: 80,- € (minimum number of participants: 5 persons)
