Quinta Tranquilidade (English “a house of tranquility”) is located in Torre e Cercas, approx. 3-4 km from the old Moor town Silves. Torre e Cercas is situated in hilly area surrounded by orange plantations, away from mass tourism. However, shopping facilities, restaurants and the most beautiful beaches in Europe are only a 5-20 minutes drive away.

The owners furnished the Quinta Tranquilidade to their own taste in a country house style. On the one hand, you will find a cosy atmosphere here and on the other hand - the spacious rooms with their chestnut wood ceilings will provide you with lots of space. The foundations of the Quinta Tranquilidade are approx. 200 years old. The extensive renovation (preserving the original style) the house was completed in the year 1998.

The natural exterior area has a stock of almond, olive and carob trees, huge agaves and fan palms. Wild flowers such as nasturtium in all various colours make a lovely picture especially in the spring and early summer. A flower garden is being created next to the house. This, however, is still in process. Even in the high summer you can find a shaded place between the old sheds and underneath a large pine tree - a perfect place to spend your siesta in a hammock.

The price is calculated as the total price for the number of persons indicated above and includes the costs of electricity, gas, water, bed linen and towels. In the winter months (November to March) heating costs are charged extra 50 € per week. The price is given for a stay of minimum 7 nights or more. Arrivals are possible at any day of the week. Earliest arrival time: 4 pm. Latest departure time: 12 am. Families with babies and children are particularly warmly welcome.
