The holiday house Monte Guerrião is located inland, a few kilometres away from the lively town of Odemira. This is an ideal location for those who want to be close to nature and look for absolute peace and quiet. You reach the house located on a plateau along a 6 km long paved road which leads through wonderful landscapes: cork oak, holm oak and eucalyptus forests, streams, and fields. From the property there is a breathtaking view on the hills of the Alentejo and Algarve regions.

The house stands on its own, but is not completely secluded, as the owners live on the same plot of land, about 150 m away. Right from the house, there are numerous possibilities of pleasant long walks among the hills. The beaches and bays of the west coast, including Vila Nova de Milfontes, the favourite holiday resort of the Portuguese, are at a distance of about 30 minutes' car drive. You can do the shopping there or in the town of Odemira mentioned above (Lidl, Aldi, Ecomarche and many other small Portuguese groceries and markets). Moreover, you can find banks, a post office, and numerous restaurants there.

The rather large house (80 sq.m.) was built several years ago over the remains of an Alantejo “monte“ (a traditional farm house). Outside, there are terraces on all sides of the house. During the winter, the house is centrally heated. The costs of gas bottles necessary for heating purposes are charged separately.

Final cleaning: 20 EUR
Gas: 3,80 EUR per cubic metre charged on departure
Electricity: 0,25 EUR per kilowatt charged on departure
Fireplace wood: 0,15 EUR per kilo charged on departure

The price is calculated as the total price for the number of persons indicated above and includes only the costs of water, bed linen and towels. The costs of electricity, gas, and final cleaning are charged extra according to figures stated above. The price is given for a stay of minimum 7 nights or more. Arrivals are possible at any day of the week. Earliest arrival time: 4 pm. Latest departure time: 12 am. Families with babies and children are particularly warmly welcome.
