407 - Monte Mariano

This nice holiday house used to be a typical Portuguese farm house called “monte”, which originally comprised of three separate small flats. The “monte” was renovated with fidelity to the original, and the three flats were merged into one, providing space for two new bathrooms (only showers), an open kitchen, and a small living room with a fireplace and satellite TV.

On the whole, the house consists of five double bedrooms and one single bedroom. However, taking the bed dimensions into consideration, the house is suitable for the maximum of 8 persons, including two persons sleeping on a bunk bed. The kitchen (with a washing machine) and the living room are quite simply equipped and furnished.

This holiday house is an original farm house with basic interior facilities On the other hand, there are fantastic outdoor facilities, such as a wonderfully well attended garden, a large swimming pool, a private tennis court, a nice view on the village and on the castle of Estremoz. The house "Monte Mariano" is located in a quiet area, among the vineyards where red grapes for such wines as"Encosta de Estremoz" and "Dona Joana" ripen. The village of Estremoz is an ideal starting point for exploring the whole Alentejo region, because it is located only half an hour's drive away from the ancient Roman towns of Évora and Elvas, the Spanish border, and other places of interest, such as "Monte Évora" or "Monsaraz" fortresses.

You are requested to pay 40 € for final cleaning on arrival.

The price is calculated as the total price for the number of persons indicated above and includes the costs of electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Possible heating costs are charged extra on departure. You may be requested to pay a 200 € deposit on arrival. The price is given for a stay of minimum 7 nights or more. During the high season (July/ August) arrivals and departures are only possible on Saturdays. Otherwise, arrivals and departures are possible at any day of the week. Earliest arrival time: 4 pm. Latest departure time: 12 am. Families with babies and children are particularly warmly welcome.
