The property of the Matias family is located in Praia da Areia Branca by the road that leads to the deserted sandy beach Paimogo. There is a bus stop right on the other side of the street. The property is enclosed by a hedge and offers plenty of space for children to play safely.

In fact there are three houses located one behind another. Casa Matias is the farthest of the three, so its location is the quietest. The middle house belongs to Portuguese owners, who live in Lisbon and often spend their weekends here. The frontmost house is a holiday house Casa dos Arcos.

On the first floor of Casa Matias the owner's parents live, yet they are elderly people who are seldom to be seen. The apartment for rent is located on the ground floor. It has a terrace in front of and behind the house. The apartment is quite simply and rustically furnished. There is a lawn with garden furniture. Behind the house there is a barbecue at the guests' disposal. The kitchen is quite spacious and serves as a lounge as well. Kitchen facilities are quite basic.
